Middle School has been a very busy time this year. Take a peek at what has been happening in each class.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE
Grade 6 - In 6th grade science we are wrapping up mapping and moving on to looking at the structure of the interior of Earth!
Grade 7 - In 7th grade science we learned about the characteristics of life and have just finished learning about what makes up cells. We will be diving into cell division starting this week!
Grade 8 - We are working on our chemistry unit studying the discovery and makeup of the atom. We will soon be moving into looking at the periodic table of elements and chemical reactions!
MIDDLE SCHOOL HISTORY
Grade 7 History – The 7
th grade is about to complete our studies on the early civilizations in South America, North America, Africa, and Europe.
Grade 8 History – In grade 8 History, we just concluded our unit on the Civil War and are now beginning to delve into the reconstruction era.
RELIGION
Grade 7 Religion - We are working on understanding concept of the Blessed Trinity. We are looking at each member of the trinity to understand their role and how all members work together.
GRADE 7 HOMEROOM NEWS
This year the 7
th graders have the privilege of taking care of a hydroponic plant tower. We have already learned how to plant seedlings without soil, how hydroponics works, what nutrients our plant’s need, the importance of a Ph balance, and many other valuable lessons about growing and caring for plants. The tower and all the supplies were donated by Ms. Jeanine Adams so our would like to take this opportunity to give Ms. Adams a big thank you for this valuable learning tool! THANK YOU, MS. ADAMS!
