Dear St. Clare of Montefalco Families,

Travel Revision: Virtual School First Week After Break The entire school will be virtual the first week back from April 12th thru April 16th. The increase in COVID cases in schools, across the metro area, and in Michigan are reason for this caution to be taken. Families you need to know that if you leave the State of Michigan your children will need to quarantine for 10 to 14 days upon the day of your return whether you travel by plane or car. Some of those days may occur while the entire school is virtual. If you do not reach the 14 days during the virtual period, you will need to complete those 14 days during the days the students first return in person April 19th.

Grade Eight Little Caesars Pizza Kit School-wide Fundraising – Students in all grades are bringing home forms to assist the eighth graders in raising dollars to help fund their graduation activities. They will appreciate all the support we are able to give to them. The end of the fundraiser is April 9, 2021 and forms are due back April 12, 2021. We will negotiate how to return the forms on April 12th as teachers will be at school but students will be virtual.

Celebrating Excellence: Mrs. White’s Grade Eight winners for Farm Bureau Insurance, “America and Me, My Personal Michigan Hero” essay contest were announced Tuesday.  First place went to Kayla James. Second place went to Kamari Robinson. Third place went to Danilo Manriquez. Kayla James will share her piece with the entire school at the closing of Holy Wednesday Mass. Shelby Jones in Grade 5 has 360 AR points.

FACTS Enrollment: Next year, the school will begin using FACTS for our School Information System instead of PowerSchool. All grades and other school information will be accessed through FACTS Family Portal, including enrollment for future school years.  All families who have registered for next school year must complete the FACTS online enrollment packet. You will receive an email next week with more information.

1. Sixth Grade Camp – Friday, March 26th from 7:15 AM to 7:00 PM
2. Last Day of Third Quarter – Wednesday, March 31st
3. All School Mass – Wednesday, March 31 at 2:00 (only students and teachers in church)
4. Third Quarter Report Cards – Monday, April 19th
5. Spring Open House – Thursday, April 22 from 6:00 to 7:30 share  www.visitstclareschool.org with prospective families
6. Tuition Assistance Application 2021/2022 -- https://www.detroitcatholicschools.org/tuition-assistance-scholarships May 21, 2021 is deadline for first round applications. This application is also used by the school to grant tuition assistance for those seeking it (catholic and non-catholic).
