Greetings St. Clare of Montefalco families,
  
We made it through the pandemic last school year. This summer we are contending with flooding. Our basement level needs extensive renovation after taking on significant water two weeks ago. Our facilities manager, Mike McDevitt, is working around the clock with insurance adjustors, the Archdiocese of Detroit Building Department, and contractors. We are thankful for Mike and his endless commitment to the school. We are blessed to have insurance to cover most of what needs to be reconstructed.
 
Summer program for K thru 8 Detroit students begins Monday, July 26 to Friday, August 6 from 8:30 to 12:30. Please send an email to  [email protected] if interested. Your child must be registered to attend before July 26 ^th. Limited spots are available.
 
Many families are aware of the Child Tax Credit, which you can read more about by  clicking here. Many of you may already be on the list to receive this $250 or $300 a month for each of your children beginning July 15 ^th. Please make sure you have tax filing for either 2019 or 2020 so that you receive this funding. It will help so much in your payment of tuition.
 
The City of Grosse Pointe Park is partnering with our St. Clare of Montefalco Parish and School Community to provide the Espero-Drive in Circus on Friday, July 30 ^th. The staging area will occur under the flagpole on Charlevoix. It looks to be a very fun event. You will need to bring lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the performances. 
 
Our preschool program teachers will keep families informed about the two-day round-up they are hosting on August 24 ^th and August 25 ^th. Morning and afternoon sessions for each group will be available to sign up with the teachers on both of those days. Look for communication from Ms. Sue and Ms. Nancy.
 
Know that the school office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 9:00 and 1:00. We will try to reach out to those of you who contact the office during those hours.
