Report Cards/Conferences/STAR Testing
Middle of the Year STAR testing is happening next week. Please be sure your children get a good night's sleep and breakfast so they are in good form for thinking. Report Cards go home Tuesday. Virtual Conferences happen next Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:30. Teachers are reaching out to families they feel they need to touch base with as these are not mandatory conferences. If you need to speak with Special Classes teachers, please schedule an individual conference with them.
 
2022-2023 Registration/AOD School Tuition Assistance
Registration for returning families begins February 1, 2022. The registration fee is reduced to $200 if you register on or before March 31. The tuition outline for next year is here. New families will begin registering on February 14, 2022. 
 
The Archdiocese of Detroit Tuition Assistance Application will become available for the 2022/2023 school year on January 22, 2022. First Round Applications are due by April 30 ^th.  https://www.detroitcatholicschools.org/tuition-assistance-scholarships

Auction
The school’s biggest fundraising event is our Auction.  Volunteers are needed!

COVID Update
Last Friday, 20 St. Clare School Community members, mainly students, were vaccinated or boosted by the Wayne County Health Department in our school gym. That included two five years old. The health department will return on February 4 ^th to administer the second vaccination shot. They will be able to provide first time vaccinations and boosters to anyone interested. At this time, we do not have one child with COVID-19 in our school.

Wayne County requires masking in schools.  N95 and KN95 masks are best protectors from COVID-19. We purchased these masks and have some in the office for the students upon request.
 
Catholic Schools Week/Open House/Mass
The teachers are actively putting together a calendar of events for Catholic Schools Week January 30 – February 5. It will be sent home next week. Jump Rope for Heart will happen this week too.  Click here to see Jump Rope for Heart information.

Open House has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 6 ^th from 1:00 to 3:00. Staff wanted to host a live Open House displaying the students’ projects and work. Only adults will be allowed to attend and is for new families. Help us promote the day and the school! Father would like to see school families at the 11:00 Mass on March 6 ^th. All good.
