We have so much to celebrate today. Congratulations needs to be given to our Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Kathy Pawlowski. Today she was awarded an Honorable Mention as an Amazing Catholic Educator from the Catholic Foundation. Families who have had children pass through her classroom fully understand why she would receive such recognition.
A note from Ms. Cooley: We must also extend congratulations to our principal, Ms. Crowley, who received an Amazing Catholic Principal award today from the Catholic Foundation. I know I speak for all our staff, students, and parents when I say we are eternally grateful for Ms. Crowley’s leadership in our school community. We are so proud of Mrs. Pawlowski and Ms. Crowley! What an incredible group of educators we have here at St. Clare.
Last Thursday we had an amazing turnout at our Family Literacy Night with 38 adults and 43 children in attendance and 10 staff members working the event. Smiles and laughter could be heard throughout the building. Finally, it feels like we are slowly returning to normalcy here in the school. We look forward to our Family Math and Science Night activity in May.
Open House and All School Mass at 11:00 Sunday, March 6th We will have our first in-person Open House to highlight our wonderful school to prospective families. We will kick off the day with an All-School Mass at 11:00 in the church. Please, please bring your children and family to this Mass on Sunday. Students need to be in uniform as we demonstrate our pride in belonging to St. Clare of Montefalco School.
COVID Update At this time, we have no children with COVID-19 in the school. Students are allowed to be without masks outside. We are opening up travel in our hallways. Families now will use the Main Office Door to pick up children who are leaving early, and tardy students will also use the main office door. The plan is to try and return to a two-tiered lunch program and in doing so hot lunch will become an option again. The April Lunch Menu should reflect new meal options.
