This is becoming very real for me. I missed greeting all of you and your children this week. The teachers were very busy finishing grading, updating records, cleaning classrooms, and moving classrooms. The new principal, Mrs. Sarah Hensien, was present quite a bit asking questions, taking notes, zooming into grant meetings with me, and interviewing people for a few non-teaching staff positions we still have open in the school. Things are progressing in a positive way for the upcoming school year. Here are some facts you need to know.
Report Cards
Report cards were mailed on Thursday to almost all families. A few families had issues with tuition or latch key bills. Another few had children who did not return chargers or chrome book covers. We only had one student who still needs to return their chrome book. That’s outstanding. Letters were sent to families who need finances settled. Phone calls were made to families who have technology holds for report cards. The goal is to have all the report cards with the families by the end of next week.
Tuition Assistance
Those who seek any type of tuition assistance needs to apply to the Archdiocese of Detroit first. The first round of Archdiocese of Detroit Awards were announced recently. This past week the St. Clare of Montefalco Tuition Assistance Team met and granted tuition assistance to some families who applied for assistance in that round. Letters were sent home this week to families. The team wished they had more funds to disperse with so many reaching out. The good news is that the Archdiocese of Detroit Tuition Assistance has a second round. Tuition Assistance last day for submission is June 30th. The Pastor signature letter is needed too.
