A few updates for you this Sunday. Your school has been exceptional since returning in person January 11, 2021. There have been zero reportings of COVID-19 contacts within the school. We remain open and safe. Thank you families for making this happen.
Super Bowl Sunday – Families, please, please make safe choices today. They nation is concerned that the celebrations around this game will become a super spreader of COVID-19. I have not heard of any families planning to host or attend these celebrations. Thank you for your commitment to keeping our children safe and allowing the school to remain open. If you should attend or host a gathering today, please keep your children home and have them quarantine until we return from break next week.
Weather – The temperatures are to be below zero factoring in the wind chills this week. Our students are driven to school and only need to walk to entrance doors in the cold. We will have school this week even while the temperatures are below zero. Students will stay inside and use their second classrooms at lunchtime. We will make sure all the students are driven to school as we do have 3 children who normally walk on a regular basis.
Valentine’s Day Celebrations.—Thursday, last period, classrooms will celebrate Valentine’s Day. If giving out cards, all children in the class must be given card from those giving them out. Teachers will pass the cards out in COVID-19 safe way. Students will not hand deliver cards to classmates. All treats must be individually wrapped, and, once again, teachers will give the treats out. We are still in the midst of the pandemic. COVID-19 protocols must still be kept.
