Dear St. Clare of Montefalco Families,

I hope this finds you doing well. We are busy at school preparing for your children to return if the State of Michigan remains in Phase 4. We will also be prepared if we need to return to Distance Learning if the State of Michigan returns to Phase 3. See the last two newsletters if you want to know how the school will open. Details are provided in both those newsletters. Remember the word “tentative” is the operative word for all of this.

Friday, July 17, 2020 Superintendent Kevin Kijewski is going to provide a letter to all families around the opening of our schools. Please look for that eblast tomorrow from school. I will send it out to you once I receive it.

Orientation Week begins August 24th.  Click here to find your student’s date and time.  Parents must attend the Orientation Meeting with their child. August 31st will be the first day of school and it will be a half day. The remaining three days of the first week of school will be full days.

Next week we are hoping to have the Supply Lists for your children updated on our school website. Please be mindful that all the s tudents will need multiple masks so that they have a clean mask each day of the week to wear in the hallways and older children will need to wear in the classrooms.  Lanyards would be helpful in keeping them from being lost or dropped on the floor.

I will repeat we are thinking of locking registration on September 8th for safety reasons. Classrooms will become safe spaces for the children and teacher who occupy those rooms.  Due to the projected lack of substitutes it may become necessary to implement Distance Learning if a teacher is absent.

4. Monday, August 31: First Half Day of School. Dismissal at 12:00
