Dear St. Clare of Montefalco Families,
 
We enjoyed this week immensely. The weather brought us great comfort during recess and lunch and on our Fishing Field Trip. The St. Clare of Montefalco students, staff, and families are truly God’s presence in this community.

Parents, your children brought home a GPS Solutions Counseling Form earlier this week. Please fill it out even if your child is not a Title I recipient. One of the counselors will team with the teachers in the classrooms directing lessons in mindfulness, centering their spirits, reflection, journaling and other activities that strengthen the resourcefulness of the young people. Please find the form and sign for your child to allow this type of lesson to occur in our classrooms. It is almost an extension of religion class.

The St. Vincent DePaul Society placed temporary bins in the Sweeney Parking lot for the weekend. Here is a great time to donate your slightly used clothing. The PTO has provided “The Spirit of Giving” bags for St. Vincent DePaul outside classrooms for our students to bring small size personal care items for people currently finding themselves in warming centers. Also think about joining the St. Clare Starlight Social with the parishioners this Saturday at 7:00 in the School Parking Lot. Music will be performed and you can bring lawn chairs and a picnic for your family cohort groups.

2.    Blessing of the Pets: Thursday: October 15 at 2:45. Instructions will be forthcoming
3.    No School: Friday, October 16: Archdiocese of Detroit Teacher Professional Development Day
4.    Friends Walk and Mercy Action Day: Sunday,  October 18: See church bulletin
5.    Trunk or Treat -- October 24, 2020 at 2:30 (help still needed, contact Starr Allen Pettway at  [email protected])
6.    Halloween Costume Walk/Parade: Thursday, October, 29 PM
7.    No School: Friday, October 30, 2020  Fall COVID Break

Distance Learner Updates
I will make personal contacts with you around status of your children. I am pleased that I already have a family committed to returning for second quarter. We are holding strong maintaining a COVID safe environment at the school. We miss your children and you.
