Greetings to you and how goes it? This pandemic has certainly stretched our relationships with each other in a bigger way. We have no current families with a member in their household with confirmed COVID-19. We are grateful for this.
The first week of Distance Learning came off successful. It may have been exhausting for many. We so understand that. We are all adjusting to this new concept of delivering instruction to our children. Families thank you so much for your support, your engagement, and your flexibility during this time. I hope you all are able to view the school’s Facebook page. Many of the photos shared of our young people engaging in learning are being enjoyed and posted daily. When you post any of your own photos please tag with @aodschools. Below is a reminder of how our Distance Learning works.

Tuesday - COVID-19 Superhero Day: make a poster thanking our local hospital workers, first responders, grocery store workers, and other essential workers. Take a photo with your poster and say a prayer for those workers.

Thursday – Pet Day: take a photo with your pet or stuffed animal
Friday - Backwards Day: wear your clothes inside out and/or backwards while you work today
Wednesday Children’s Mass Day at 9:00
Father Andrew will continue to celebrate a Children’s Mass every Wednesday at 9:00. So many of us and many folks from outside our community enjoyed this service this past week. Issues with connecting to the live feed troubled some at first. The best way to get into the mass is to go to the school website stclareschool.net. Click on Live Mass by Father Andrew and the link will be there.
Distance Education will continue at least thru Wednesday, April 8
th. At this time Governor Whitmer has all schools closed until April 13
th. We will take a short Easter Break beginning Thursday, April 9
th and returning in some way or form on Tuesday, April 14
th. As you know events are ongoing and changing day to day. When changes happen, I will update you in an eblast or via School Messenger.
Tuition was addressed by the Archdiocese again today. The Archdiocese has made arrangements with FACTS for different payment options you may choose to make directly with FACTS if you need to make payment adjustments for any reason. Payments may be extended thru August for this school year with FACTS. If you have a different agreement with our school please contact Ann Conlan around making adjustments to your payment due dates We will work with you.
AOD Award letters for next school year will be delayed as the Archdiocese adjusts itself in all arenas like all of us are doing. Know that they will be given out at some point.
Finally I must share this constant directive from the Archdiocese again. If anyone in your family has a confirmed case of Coronavirus 19 you must send me that information immediately. My email address is [email protected]
Peace and safe health wished to you,
