Greetings St. Clare of Montefalco families,
 
We are having a great week. I need to share that last Thursday The Knights of Columbus provided a beautiful picnic lunch for all staff. We are deeply appreciative of their presence. This week the lower grades attended Mass in person. Ms. Harris’ and Ms. Tannheimer’s students led the readings, petitions, and prayers with the theme of Our Lady of Sorrows. Sr. Kathy guided this class as they performed the song, “Praise God.” Father Andrew was a wonderful teacher as he explained what he was doing to the little ones and new students throughout the mass.
 
COVID-19: The news has been reporting the numerous K-12 schools  having COVID-19 outbreaks. Thank you parents for remembering our children are the most vulnerable. We all mask on campus everywhere to keep our youngest safe. We have this. We had no outbreaks at our school last year and plan to keep it that way this year.
 
Text Messages from School: Many of you put the following digits 22383 into your phone this week at Dismissal. Thank you. All families need to text this number to receive emergency updates from the school. They happen very rarely but when they do, you will definitely want to know what is happening.
 
Lunch Program: We are hoping to receive delivery of our coolers and warming elements this Friday. The AOD lunch program should begin Monday. Please send your child with a lunch Monday just in case we do not receive our delivery. It is better to be covered for everything. Thank you for your patience.
 
No PM Latchkey: Wednesday, September 22 as all staff needs First Aide training from Red Cross.
 
Free Reading Dress Day and Assembly – Thursday, September 23 (Assembly in PM)
 
Virtual Friday September 24, 8:00 to 3:30 PM. Kindergarten thru  grade eight students stay home. – Teachers will send families information next week with their zoom links. Students will be synchronous with their teachers  from 8:00 to 11:30. They will have lunch break/quiet reading from 11:30 until 1:00. Teachers will be attending a professional development class in the PM. Your children will be given some asynchronous activities to do until 3:00. I will zoom with them at 8:00, 11:30, and 3:00. They will practice Thursday in school to be ready at home Friday. Preschool will remain in person.
