It’s so good to be back to school. We are remaining face-to-face for now as we move through this next COVID Omicron variant. Please keep your children home if they have any signs of a cold or flu as these are the signs for COVID too. Parents, you are our first defense against this variant. All the other parents rely on you making sure your own children are healthy enough to come to school. Here is the sign up for vaccination of anyone 5 and older. Registration forms will be sent for registered children.

School Safety Families, due the to heightened awareness of safety in our schools following the Oxford School shooting, we are updating our Crisis Plan to address school safety under threats issued that pose harm to any student in the school. Please know while we are working on our plan, which will be approved by the Archdiocese of Detroit and the Grosse Pointe Park Public Safety Department, we will follow the procedures of the Archdiocese of Detroit. Those procedures have the principal call the Grosse Pointe Resource Officer from the Grosse Pointe Park Public Safety Department. At that point in time, the issue is in the hands of the Resource Officer. The Archdiocese of Detroit also states any student who makes a threat must receive an outside evaluation from a psychologist or psychiatrist indicating the student making the threat is not a harm to themselves or to others in order to return to school. The updated Crisis Plan will be sent home as soon as it is approved.
School Google Account Devices will be used only during the school day at school unless other circumstances demand use at home. Please know if your child believes someone else is using their account, you must notify Ms. Cooley immediately for a new password and share why your child believes someone else is using their account.
Auction The school’s biggest fundraising event is our Auction. It is February 19
th, just a month away. The Auction Committee needs volunteers in a big way. You may earn the volunteer hours and be part of making this a success.
