COVID-19 Update/Drop Off /Pick Up Procedures Families, we are wrapping up week 8 with no COVID-19 cases in our school. Thank you everyone for riding this out with the school. It is really a drag not letting anyone into this school building during the day. I am adamant about everyone being safe.
Parents, we instituted a new drop off procedure in the morning last school year as it was brought to us by a specialist. The PTO brought this person in to assist in making drop off safer for all the children. We were great following it last year. The procedure only allows for children to get out of their cars from the Drop Off line. Parents may park in the parking lot after dropping the children off but may not get out of cars and walk with the children to the teacher lines. The school day begins once your children get out of cars and walk to their lines. These rainy and bad weather days are exceptions. We still encourage following the regular drop off. Most students had umbrellas. The exception here and there especially with are very little ones is understood during bad weather.
New Incentives Families, the goal of the Fun Run is reach a fundraising goal of $12,000 by November 18. The school is throwing in additional incentives that may encourage you to want to participate more. The incentive for reaching various fundraising levels are as follows:
$12,000 - Free Dress Day the immediate next day
$15,000 - students will all receive a Taco Bell Taco or Little Caesars Pizza Slice
$20,000 - students will get the Monday after Thanksgiving off
$24,000 - Ms. Crowley and Ms. Cooley will do a TikTok dance.
The link even guides you into creating a Facebook post where your friends and family can all participate. Let’s get Ms. Crowley and Ms. Cooley dancing.
Halloween Parade and Classroom Parties - Friday, October 29 Halloween celebrations will follow all Covid-19 safety procedures. Students are permitted to wear costumes to school, though costumes must be school-appropriate and cannot include costume masks, blood, weapons, etc.
Classroom parties may be held by teachers, but parent volunteers will not be permitted to participate. Any treats brought in must be individually wrapped. Look for information from your child's teachers regarding their specific classrooms.
