Today kicks off our Virtual Spirit Week! Share photos with your teacher so we can continue to celebrate our school community. We love our St. Clare spirit!
Greetings to you and how goes it? This pandemic has certainly stretched our relationships with each other in a bigger way. We have no current families with a member in their household with confirmed COVID-19. We are grateful for this. Please open this post to view the entire newsletter.
Father Andrew is going to say the Children's Mass live at 9:00 today. We are able to unite at that time as a school and parish family. Please open this news post to find the link for the live stream. You can also go directly to our school FB page and participate in the event. I look forward to sharing a video message to all of you this Friday.
Our teachers, students, and families are hard at work today as St. Clare of Montefalco begins our Distance Learning program! Thankfully, we are secure in the knowledge that the time our community puts in for these lessons the next few weeks will be counted as part of our required instructional time. Yet another reason to choose Catholic schools! Be sure to check out our Facebook page throughout the week so you can see our community in action.
Please be reassured that the MDE mandate not counting online hours does not apply to those of us in Catholic Schools. Open the included link or see St. Clare of Montefalco School FB post. I will also be sending a short video when the AOD finishes it. The Archdiocese leadership wants all of you to watch it. It might be ready tomorrow or Sunday. Open this post to view the link.

As many of you know, Governor Whitmer closed all schools until April 5, 2020. The Archdiocese of Detroit is addressing the closure and their response is shared in the link in this post. Please read the letter. Know that we feel very well prepared at St. Clare of Montefalco. Next week will be our Spring Break. The scheduled Virtual Instructional Practice Day will not occur Tuesday. We will begin our distance learning on Monday, March 23, 2020 as directed by the AOD. Please watch for eblasts and messages coming from the school and your teachers over the course of next week. We will keep you in the loop as best we are able.

Congratulations need to go to all the young people who participated. The winners of the contest for our school were 1st Place – Sage Johnson, 2nd Place Amira Scott, and 3rd Place was Julian Townsend.
