We continue to grow. This week we have 104 students enrolled with multiple inquiry phone calls coming into the office asking about our school. PK 4, Grade 3 and Grade 4 have waiting lists for entry now. I reiterate the following information. Class size will be limited to 15 students per classroom in KG thru GD 8. We are thinking of locking registration on September 8th for safety reasons. Classrooms will become safe spaces for the children and teacher who occupy those rooms. We are growing. This week we reached 100 students enrolled in our beautiful school. Some of our classrooms only have room for one more student. Please, this is a call out for families to encourage growth in our kindergarten class. We are looking for 7 more students. A tuition incentive exists for families who find children who register for kindergarten. Please open this post to view the complete newsletter.
Today, Archdiocese of Detroit Superintendent Kevin Kijewski sent a letter to all of us addressing the opening of school for the upcoming school year. The formal plans for opening are found at the end of his letter. Please know that St. Clare of Montefalco School is following the plans put forth by the Archdiocese of Detroit. I hope this finds you doing well. We are busy at school preparing for your children to return if the State of Michigan remains in Phase 4. We will also be prepared if we need to return to Distance Learning if the State of Michigan returns to Phase 3. See the last two newsletters if you want to know how the school will open. Details are provided in both those newsletters. Remember the word “tentative” is the operative word for all of this. Please open this post to view the complete newsletter.
The school year is going to definitely be a different school year for all of us. It is going to be very important that all families read eblasts and communications coming from the school so that you will know how instruction will be imparted day to day for your children. Administration from the Archdiocese of Detroit, from the school and the teaching staff are all trying to assure your children will be safe, receive quality, faith enriched instruction and have their emotional and creative needs met.
We welcome the new PTO President, Jody Corbett, and all of the other PTO officers. We are in the process of confirming contracts and classroom configurations for the Fall. Tentatively this is what the school will look like for grade levels and teachers. Please open this post to view the complete newsletter.
