I am going to reiterate the importance of reading the E-Blast Newsletters and updates sent to families. I want to assure you that the forms found on pg. 4 in the St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic School 2020-2021 Return to School Plan will be sent home if those scenarios present themselves in the school. We are going to always be most cautious in making sure we protect everyone in our school community. If you have any questions please call the school at 313-647-5101. We at St. Clare of Montefalco School want to assure families that children and their safety is primary before all else. The Archdiocese of Detroit Catholic School District is offering face to face instruction as the primary means of instruction to all of its families this school year. Hearing the concerns of families here at St. Clare of Montefalco around face to face instruction and wanting some form of online instruction option we were able to work out the following. Things remain fluid at our school as we prepare for opening. Next week we have our orientation meetings which will be held outside with parents and children. Parents must attend with their children. At a point in the meeting teachers will take the children to their classrooms. They will go through all the processes and procedures for a regular school day. Please have your children bring their supplies to school during orientation so they may be taken to the classrooms with the teachers. Please open this post to view the complete newsletter.
We are also pleased to provide you with the St. Clare of Montefalco 2020/2021 Return to School Plan. Many of the questions you may have are answered in this plan. Multiple resources are also provided in it to address questions you may have around COVID-19 protocols at the school. Please open this post to view the complete letter.
Today you should check your schedule for orientation sessions. Some have changed. If it should rain the day of your orientation with your child, your child will go into school with their teachers after you drop them off. I will hold a zoom meeting with parents shortly after the young people are in school. That will give you enough time to reach home to connect with me. You will pick your children up at either 12:00 for morning orientation or 3:30 for afternoon orientation. This is only if it should rain. Please open this post to view the complete newsletter.
A desire and discussion was held at having an outdoor 7:00 PTO with proper 6 foot spacing for Tuesday evening. Due to weather uncertainty and other parish activities the PTO meeting will be held via zoom. If you desire to attend the meeting please contact Sue Pongratz at her email address [email protected] and she will send the zoom link to you Tuesday. Classrooms will become safe spaces for the children and teachers. The group that begins August 31st will be the cohort group for the first semester.
